Compulsory edging - The red highlighted edge(s) face the inside of your kitchen and must be polished smooth for both safety and visual aesthetics.
OKYou will need to take into account the depth of the adjacent worktop before entering the lengths. For example if you had a kitchen where the overall wall dimensions for both worktop runs are 3 metre you will need to order 1 x 3000mm worktop on the piece without the join, the other worktop will = 3000mm - the depth of the piece without the joint. (Standard depth = 600mm therefore the depth would be 3000mm - 600mm = 2400mm).
Worktop length - Simply enter the length of each of your worktop sections in millimeters don't worry about entering the depth (front to wall) as this is a set to a standard size of 600mm.
Additional edging - Click on each checkbox to add additional edging. If all edges are checked you'll be unable to add upstands, splashbacks & downturns as you are indicating the edge(s) aren't against walls. The edges will now be highlighted red.
Cutouts & grooves - Click on this icon to add sink, hob, hole cutouts & grooves to the selected worktop.

Splashbacks & cills - Click this icon to add a splashback & a window cill to the selected section of worktop. Finally click the save button to apply.
Downturns - Click this icon to add a downturn to the selected section of worktop. A downturn give you an additional piece of worktop material that returns to the floor giving you a linear look to your worktop.
Upstands - Click on each checkbox to add upstands to the applicable worktop edges. Note if you have already added edging to an edge on Step 2 you'll be unable to add upstands to the same edge on this step. Once checked upstand edges will be highlighted green.
Polished edges - The red highlighted areas indicate polished edges some of which is compulsory and additional edges you may have selected on Step 2.
If so did you deduct the length of your range or freestanding cooker when entering your section lengths?
If you deducted then you need to re-add this onto the section length. Cooker cutouts are auto deducted in the final worktop calculation.
Click the 'Adjust worktops sizes' button and amend the section length to include size of the cooker.
